ANNUAL CONVOCATION (29.03.2025)

INSTRUCTIONS TO THE CANDIDATES

1. Convocation for conferment of the following degrees will be held on Saturday, March 29th, 2025 at 11:00 AM. at Auditorium on the University Campus, Kaithal.

Ph.D. POST GRADUATION GRADUATION

2. Candidates who are eligible to obtain their degrees at the convocation will conform to the following conditions:

(A) All the candidates will obtain duly certified Identification Cards from the Controller of Examination, on Friday 28th, 2025 up to 11:00 AM.

(B) All the candidates must wear the Convocation dress as specified below:

Dress code for Males

White Kurta, White Dhoti/Pajama and black shoes/sandals

OR

White full sleeve Shirt and white Trousers and black shoes/sandals.

Dress code for Females

Cream Kasavu Sari and Cream Blouse with 1 to 1.5 inch wide Golden Border and black shoes/sandals

OR

White Kurta/Shirt, White Salwar/Trousers, white Dupatta and black shoes/sandals.

Registration for Convocation

(For Ph.D. Degree Holders)

Stole: Navy Blue

(For Master Degree Holders)

Stole: Orange Colour

(For Graduate Degree Holders)

Stole: Green Colour

They will collect their prescribed Stoles with University in sign from their respective Departments by submitting receipt of Rs.1000/- on account of registration to convocation to be paid through online payment gateway at the online.

III. All candidates must attend the compulsory Rehearsal on 28.03.2025 at 11:00 AM in the University Auditorium, failing which they will not be allowed to participate in the convocation.

Note: A candidate, who does not bring with him/her the Identification Card, duly certified by the Head of the Department and/or does not attend the Rehearsal on 28.03.2025 at 11.00 AM, will not be allowed to attend the Convocation.

IV. A candidate who is eligible for conferment of the degree, but does not intend to appear at the Convocation in person can obtain his/her degree in accordance with the procedure laid down. Such a candidate will make a request subsequently Prescribed Performa available on University website and will collect their Degree from the concerned Dean/HOD of University Teaching Department along with a fee of Rs.1000/-to be paid through Online mode in University account or with University Cashier (Accounts on Branch).

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE CANDIDATES AND MEDALISTS

1. Rehearsal Day 28.03.2025 Time: 11.00 a.m.

(Recipient of degrees are required to reach in University Auditorium)

2. Convocation 29.03.2025 Recipients of Degrees and Medals to occupy their seats by 10:30 a.m.

3.Candidates who are to receive the Degrees/Medals at the Convocation are requested to :-

(i) Be punctual for Rehearsal as well as for Convocation;

(ii) Enter the (Auditorium)with Identification Card on Convocation Day, with proper dress as specified above at Serial II;

(iii) Occupy their seats by 10:30 a.m. on Convocation Day;

(iv) Observe silence and maintain proper decorum while in the Hall during the Convocation proceedings;

(v) Remain seated during Rehearsal and Convocation proceeded;

(vi) Ensure that they do not block the passages-either by standing or by walking to and from;

(vii) To occupy correct seats please note the Row No. and Seat No. allotted on the day of Rehearsal and remember neighboring students on left and right;

(viii) Ensure that you have signed the Roll-Call sheets on Rehearsal Day otherwise you will not get your Degrees at the Convocation;

(ix) Keep your mobile phones on silent mode.

4. Ph.D. candidates will line up near the dais in batches, in their turns and will receive their degrees from the Vice-Chancellor. Degrees to all other candidates will be distributed on their seats, in their turns, by the University officials on duty.

5. After receiving the Degrees, candidates are requested to bow to the Chancellor/Vice-Chancellor before taking their seats.

6. In case of any discrepancy in the Degree awarded, the candidate(s) will meet the concerned COE after the Convocation is over. The discrepancy need not be pointed out during the Convocation, as that may cause unnecessary disturbance in the proceedings of the Convocation.

7. All the candidates for the award of the Degrees and Medals will stand in their seats:

(i) Until the procession of the Chancellor, Vice-Chancellor, members of the various Bodies of the University and other dignitaries enter in the Auditorium and occupy their seats.

(ii) When National Anthem is being played;

(iii) No one should leave Auditorium until the convocation procession has left.

8. The candidates are not all owed to use cameras/mobiles during the convocation and will have to either switch off or keep their mobiles on silent mode.

9. No candidate will leave the Auditorium during the proceedings of the Convocation.
